The concept

A complete cycle in two inseparable modules

Six days of training in Aix-en-Provence, driven throughout by hands-on work, to progress from the fundamentals of mucogingival microsurgery to advanced root coverage techniques. Both modules are taken in full.

  • Module 1 — Microsurgery & tunnelling · 26-28 May 2027.
  • Module 2 — Coronally advanced flaps & free gingival grafts · 6-8 October 2027.
  • Hands-on work on anatomical specimens every day, with a limited number of participants.

The program

Module 1 · 26-28 May 2027 — Microsurgery & tunnelling

Day 1

Form and function in the management of recessions · cervical wear lesions · palatal anatomy and risk management · harvesting techniques (lateral palate, tuberosity) · hands-on: palatal harvesting on models.

Day 2

Diagnosis and classification of recessions · success factors for the buried connective tissue graft · tunnelling step by step: incisions, graft placement, sutures · indications and prognosis · hands-on practice.

Day 3

Alternative techniques on laterally closed tunnel, VISTA, selective graft and full arch · microsurgical incisions and sutures · surgical treatment plan and post-operative follow-up · communication, quotes and presenting to the patient.

Module 2 · 6-8 October 2027 — Coronally advanced flaps & free gingival grafts

Review and decision tree

Review of the Paroplastic method · decision tree in periodontal plastic surgery · positioning of the different techniques.

Free gingival graft

Indications, benefits and limits · surgical planning · free graft technique: harvesting, preparing the recipient site, stabilisation.

Advanced flaps

Steps of the trapezoidal advanced flap · performing multiple flaps · simulated complex cases.
