PRISM Masterclass — Predictable Reconstruction of Interproximal Soft Tissue Morphology

Beyond Root Coverage — A New Perspective on Black Triangles. Modern mucogingival surgery has considerably improved the predictability of root coverage. However, black triangles and interproximal attachment loss remain among the greatest biological and esthetic challenges. PRISM proposes a new perspective: understanding the defect before rebuilding the anatomy.

  • Understand the biological principles governing interproximal soft tissue reconstruction.
  • Diagnose defects using the Cairo Classification, papilla morphology and the Paroplastic concept of contained and uncontained defects.
  • Select the appropriate surgical or multidisciplinary treatment strategy.
  • Master the PRISM surgical protocol and its advanced variations.
  • Transfer the PRISM philosophy to implant therapy (iPRISM).

Day 1 — PRISM | Around Teeth

  • Session I — WHY? (09:00–10:30): Why do black triangles and root coverage become challenging? The esthetic and biological challenge, current concepts and biological limitations, why interproximal attachment is the key determinant. Key message: the tooth is part of the defect.
  • Session II — WHAT? (11:00–12:30): What kind of defect am I dealing with? Cairo RT Classification, strengths and surgical limitations, the Paroplastic Method, contained vs uncontained defects, papilla classification, simplifying PRISM indications.
  • Session III — HOW? (14:00–16:30): How to rebuild the defect predictably? Surgical vs multidisciplinary treatment, orthodontic and prosthetic contribution, biological principles of PRISM, step-by-step PRISM protocol, clinical videos and case discussions.
  • Session IV — WHAT IF? (17:00–18:30): What if standard PRISM is not enough? Understanding the Cervical Lock, biological limits of conventional PRISM, clinical examples.

Day 2 — Mastering PRISM

  • Morning: Answering the “WHAT IF?” question, false recession, mucosal box, advanced surgical rationale, complex clinical cases, complication management, long-term outcomes.
  • Afternoon — iPRISM (extending the PRISM philosophy to implant therapy): biological differences between teeth and implants, peri-implant soft tissue deficiencies, iPRISM protocol, immediate and delayed implant scenarios, advanced peri-implant reconstruction, clinical videos and discussion.
  • Comprehensive printed course manual (concepts, algorithms, surgical protocols, clinical cases and space for notes).
  • PRISM Practice Box: a dedicated resin model and a PRISM-specific surgical instrument for home practice.
  • Exclusive online video platform: guided practical exercises and surgical demonstrations.
  • Certificate of completion.
  • Two-day masterclass, delivered entirely in English.
  • Venue: Pathé Palace Opéra, Paris — Auditorium 7.
  • Limited attendance: 65 clinicians.
  • Registration fee: €2,900 — includes the printed course manual, PRISM Practice Box, online video platform, coffee breaks and networking lunches, and certificate of completion.
